You all are missing a possible explanation.
The prince knew the solution the entire time. Merely wanted someone else to state it.
If you think about it, his knowledge that Mary is probably interfering and his inference that the blonde isn't actually coming up with the solutions would allow him...

The specific count is the highest count besides him got into the mid 100s. The actual novel ended at 3500+? There's some spoilers related to this that I won't go into because obviously Three Ways To Survive in a Ruined World is the centerpiece plot of ORV.
Its more a complaint from novel readers who had *every* word changed on them around chapter 350. Which is fucking obnoxious cuz its not just "Story" vs "Fable", it was all the characters getting arbitrary respellings. Absolute worst decision by a new translator to change all the names.

Christ this comment section is always so cancerous. You'd think the crossdresser murdered someone by how dumb the comments are. He's literally looking out for the girls. Like he can be wrong on what's actually happening, but his intentions aren't bad.
Ah we're almost to the first interesting parts with the old organizations. Manga is getting close to starting the two major arcs: the kingdom unification and the history exploration arc.
@serkket
If you are honestly expecting the hero party to recruit someone who murdered off an entire village, aren't your writing expectations too low? What sort of asspull do you need to justify picking up a mass murderer, other than 'cute girl'?
So a couple of comments on the last 8 or so:
I thought Maggie was a plump little girl and also a plump bird.
Also yay @ finally starting Lightning and Tilly's storylines (both different, but connected). TBH It's the most interesting part of the next 100 chapters until Roland turns his aim at...
@Genoshock
No, the illustrator of this manga draws all the witches young. Anna is 17 at the start of the web novel, while Roland is somewhere in his early 20s. Hell, Nana begins RTW at 16, not the.... 12... she looks like here.
@neheava
16 to 20 I think, maybe Roland's a bit younger. For what it's worth, Roland has feelings for both Nightingale and Anna and originally the author planned for him to get together with both. I'm not sure if anything changed, but I believe the author's wife was against any sort of harem.
@mrmm
No, they are all infertile. Which is one of the central problems that Scroll has with Anna and Nightengale's ambitions. She thinks its a bit selfish for the prince to be monopolized by a witch, when without an heir the next ruler of Graycastle could easily go back to a witch-hater.
Is there any relevance in this being a shared universe to "Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi" (or is it even true?) since the WN has like 0 relevance to each other, right?
The man isn't really a spy though, he's a 'rat'. AKA a poor person part of an information 'network' of other poor people. Yeah they act to gather information but the concept of a trained spy doesn't exist. Essentially, nobles just pay poor people to talk about rumors they've heard to get...
