One weird/annoying thing for me about Kaede and now Akagi is the whole "super regeneration through force of will" thing that they've spontaneously developed in the last couple chapters. Half of Kabane's schtick is super regeneration, and granted his is still much better, but the resident vampire...
@anon763 Well yes, it was probably something that the author brought up with the animation studio since she might have had this scene planned for a while and it would be a neat easter egg made possible by the anime airing at the same time as the manga story getting to that point. Still, when...
@kalton I think their were some strong hints that Kahlua Milk is actually their Classics teacher in chapter one; as in, their face and hair designs are exactly the same.
@Mikhail Also possibly, "Character basically at the mercy of someone using them as a toy" vs. "Character grudgingly humoring someone using them as a toy."
The one possibility I can think of for duster-kun surviving is that the fake sword dusted rather than reverting to a severed left arm, like the severed arm that was left over when the other duster bit it. It might just be a function of it being transformed when he died, or of different effects...

On the one hand, the story remains a mass of dangling plot threads and sorely underutilized characters and story elements, which makes the ending feel a bit rushed and maybe a bit unsatisfying. On the other hand, closing with an uncertain and inconclusive mess does seem like a more realistic...
@nachtness
Jump+ is Jump's digital sibling; it's distributed totally online, so if Mr. Editor gives the go ahead we might in fact to be able to hear Deadpool belt one out.
So... I guess Kitsune having healing maybe via transformation isn't too out of left field due to Robara, but if it's that good then Robara's whole box of spare body parts thing seems less necessary and it raises questions of why Kon was out of commission for so long and why previous injuries...
