Especially since the amount of chapters read does increase after you read the latest chapter. So if I read chapter 23 and put the manga as reading and caught upto chapter 22 it would increase to chapter 23. It really makes no sense to me why they wouldn't just mark the chapters you say you read...

But then it still doesn't make sense. I am not saying all chapters should be marked as read if you put it as reading. But if you put it as reading and then say you read 20 chapters why wouldn't it mark those 20 chapters as read? That part makes no sense to me, also you say ask the devs but how...

But why? What is the point of having a reading option where you can enter how many chapters you read if they aren't marked as read ?
