I understand the frustration with the short chapters on a monthly release schedule, but this arc is actually amazing. Just got done rereading the last 30 or so chapters and it's still top tier in my eyes.

@Kaine_West Yeah that threw me off a bit. But I'm not exactly sure what to expect from a Japanese soldiers perspective of the Manchurian occupation. At least there were some depictions of Japanese soldiers being assholes, albeit mainly towards another soldier.

Plenty of isekai protagonists would have killed the attackers. Difference here is that he isn't a completely op edgelord about the ordeal.

Fuck man. The moment I read the title I knew what was going to happen. This sucks, I doubt Azumi would have even needed his sword. He just wanted to guarantee her survival.

I get that Tenkai is doing what he needs to, but still fuck him. He's probably already making plans to off Azumi when he's done with her. Her best option of survival is to just run away from all of it.
