Can no women bother to find something that looks like a weapon and protect themselves. Too much of a male power fantasy for me. Women aren't this helpless.

Why does no one truly try to talk to him without weapons drawn? It is so unbelievably stupid to attack someone as powerful and invulnerable as Superman. Heck, even the lives of the 30ish people he requested to kill would be a more reasonable sacrifice than the hundreds he has already killed...

It is refreshing to see an MC beat their situation with brains and soul more than brawn.

The only problem with this ending is it eliminated all the character development of the Protagonist. She values her independence and connections with others. Suddenly her powers are out of control so she is permanently trapped in the cage she always feared. How is this OK?
