@uncre4tive the romanized character are often not the same as how it would have been spelled in pingyin. For example, the word 希 in pingyin would have been spelled as Xi, but the romanized spelling of it is Hsi.
Just to appease those who are worried the manga falling into regular highschool manga pit, as of chapter 13, it has not done that, it is actually picking up.
