You are too fixated on "last page". There's many other situations. While "mark it read when opened" is simple and working even if it's "inaccurate" in some opinions.

You suggest to create overcomplicated system that would update progres on 100 different "events". Why if simple system that works on single event is working fine? Just because you don't like it? Grow up :)

It's working even right now, but not for every series for whatever reason :) I checked some of my follows, most are properly synced with "eyes" but some are like 5-10 chapters out of 100+ however all chapters are properly auto-marked with "eyes".
