They don't have a guarantee their last gambit will work so it's basically insurance to pass Kate more wisdom. They also won't look like accomplices if she attacked them.
Thanks for the chapter, but it could use a pass with a proofreader. Good chunk of homophone mixups like using shoot instead of chute or nobel instead of noble.

Manga has been pulling back on things that were revealed casually in the novel. I guess they want them to have more oomph when their time comes in the manga.

Past life MC made a lot of "garbage" magic gear that only work on MC logic, only usable by someone who is at the apex of magic since he was trying to bypass his own limits. Like the disintegrator sword and the superheated spear in the ruins.
I mean there's a lot of major arcana and they can't all be babby's first villain like World. Can't let the actual schemers at MC yet when he's still on training wheels.

If it's something that can be reasonably accomplished in a day I don't think that's the same as an exercise regimen or research study. Prince wants her to succeed so he's off the hook from this retainers so even producing the smallest flame or light should count.
