I guess, this favors poorer guilds, since they don't loose as much compared to richer ones. It sounded like you'd lose a percentage of the guild wealth at least... Rich guilds could have put more/better traps and thus are penalized more for a cheap blockages.
I don't understand how people that are used to eating crabs, squids, shrimps and octopus have reservations against spider meat... For me I like neither. ^^
But since I live closer to center Europe this there isn't really an ocean within a distance things would keep fresh. Thus no getting used...

I started at some point to catch flies, moths and beetles with bare hands and throw them outside. Much cleaner than sqashing or smoking them. ^^
We had a supply moth problem a few weeks ago, where I threw out around 30 the first days after cleaning. Putting the supplies in closed containers...
There were so many things I couldn't understand in the other translation. "Horse power" instead of "Mana usage" was the least of the problems. I had no idea what the mage was trying to say most of the time...
