@SuperOniichan She did ballet in her teens, but what she wants to write about is more ambitious than that, so yes, she gets the help that she needs to improve the authenticity and fidelity of the story that she wants to tell. Which is commendable.
@SuperOniichan Yeah, she's been consulting since the very beginning. She's also attended YAGP and visited Royal Ballet School, amongst other places in Europe, in part to write this manga.
And the wait refers to this volume ending. I've only worked with tankoubons rather than magazines so far...
@SuperOniichan I'd imagine Cuvie might have outlined a choreography specifically for this instead of borrowing one, since it's played as an original. Whether that be with or without help. I'd assume the same was true of Tamaki-sensei's and possibly others as well.
@wisnu1231
Yes, personally, that's how I prefer to read series myself, and I won't change that just because I'm scanlating it.
Yeah, that's the same Cuvie. She still actively draws hentai, too.
@Suben Interesting take. I can easily imagine it, but I read her glare the complete opposite, lol. Her feeling the need to mention her former roommates not returning once again made me feel like she was projecting when she mentioned Keira had yet to move on from it... with a high degree of...
@tempsventeux I'll admit I'm not familiar with many ballet names, but I watched this short Royal Ballet School documentary featuring a young Christopher Wheeldon student, as per a few excited comments I read on the video, lol.
And yes, they actually had Romeo and Juliet before Sleeping Beauty...
@TakeiDaloui Yes, this is the last chapter of this volume already.
@Mivas Looks like volume 16 is indeed planned for a September 17th release, but then again, volume 15 was released on may 20th... I'll see how it goes as always.
@Romariel Dated april 10th, it essentially states how Covid has spread worldwide and stopped most everything and everyone in their tracks. How, beyond her own inability to watch live ballet performances anymore, it's affected the industry in its dancers, teachers and students, of whom some, like...
Not boy drama, nope, but a memento. I would guess Evelyn to be on pretty decent terms with her ex-boyfriend considering she's still carrying a picture of him, lol.
Any impressions on this arc so far? Any Royal Ballet character catch your attention yet?
@monkry Grande Scène never skipped a chapter so far, and it looks like it's going to be a fairly long running series. Cuvie also does have another non-hentai series ongoing in Erzsébet, although that one is trimestrial and still untranslated (I haven't read it either). She evidently still likes...
@TakeiDaloui Definitely, and I appreciate that final grounding to her non-ballet school friends as she's about to transition into a ballet school. I wonder if we'll get more non-ballet specific outings/events now that she'll be surrounded by people who she shares that affinity with. That could...
@SuperOniichan Writing is hard. I haven't really read his solo attempts, but by the looks of it, we needn't look further than Murata to call into question what makes a mangaka good.
@TakeiDaloui Yeah, they kind of have to choose their battles here and there as to what to show on-screen so it doesn't feel too slow either. We didn't get "proper" closure with Risa, Takimoto, etc, but much like that short moment with her school friends is enough to make you imagine their...
