I guess cooking wasn't made a tag because it doesn't seem to do much to the plot. Yes that's how he gets his skills but normally they describe food especially when they have the class of chef

The explanation for why dismantle works on living beings could just be because of luck. The skill dismantle would have a very low chance of actually working in a living being but because of his luck it's a op skill
