I think this is my favorite from the Corpse Party franchise, mainly because it's refreshing to NOT rehash the same characters and have a story beyond the usual body horror and gore. There's still plenty of death, but it's overall a nice change of pace to follow another group that has their OWN...
@chosenone124 @iluvthings Yep, it was just discovered. That's why everyone had a "star" designation, it was a stand-in for blood-types. But with how advanced and passionate this nurse is about scientific advances in medicine (like figuring out germs are a thing), chances are she figured it out...
@IShallReadTheHeavens No you did not.
"Congratulations, you're all pardoned and free to go! Yes, even you, Baby Eater Phil you rascal, you. Just don't eat any more babies! Hahaha! keep an eye on that last one boys"
You know, we've seen what happens to living dolls whose shadows die, but what about shadows whose living dolls die? Also, do the Belles know which Belle is theirs?
@Yunyo If you're talking about the black-haired girl, it was stated she killed the proctor, the person administering the exam. Seems different from killing other examinees, so it might be considered fair game. Especially with a setup that leads to direct competition like this.
There really isn't an explanation, just theories that no one can prove. That's part of what I like about this one and Itou's earlier work. There's not always an explanation for why stuff happens, and in horror that can make it even scarier. The girls themselves are reacting to their fear of the...
Well I keep hoping the "end of humanity" doesn't actually MEAN the end of humanity, and we can somehow still get a happy ending. Either way, looking forward to seeing how this wraps up!
Kinda freaky to realize that Barbara is fully aware that Barbie will die if she becomes an adult and still willing to go through with it. Also wonder how Anthony managed to run away when Christopher died, and what happened to him.
@primrosea It's basically a super-stylized wave. If you look at the earlier chapters like this page from Chapter 1, it's more obvious. You can see it evolve to be more pointy over early chapters (like on this page from chapter 24, it's still short and looks like it's part of the wave but it's...
What IS up with those legs on page nine? I was focused on the translations so I kinda glossed over that. Is there a French serial killer or something...?
Most of the cases lately have been plot-related in some way, whether it's to the BO or tying up loose ends with love triangles and such. I don't know if this case will have the voice changer reveal, but I think Gosho is absolutely trying to wrap up the plot threads. If this one ends with Hattori...
@Scrabbleman the first page of Chapter 214 was specifically about why. Could be due to TL rivalry, but wanting to get caught up to raws is pretty valid too.
I do sympathize with Rashta. She was in a desperate position, and I do think she did originally want to be friendly with Navier and not outright replace her. Her main goal has always been self-preservation, and openlybantagonizing the empress would go against that.
She's not totally blameless...
