This is ok, but the pacing is very slow. 20 chapters in and it feels like the story is just beginning. Currently the raws are about 10 chapters ahead; I'd wait for many more translated chapters before starting.

Really great stuff here. Hero seems stupid to start, but later revelations change this. This manga deserves a higher rating than 6.7 . The intrigue and misunderstandings that drive the plot are organic and move in interesting directions. This is not your average "I'm super strong, but I was...

Web novel is being translated as well: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/shikkaku-kara-hajimeru-nariagari-mado-shido/
The translation quality is hit-or-miss, unfortunately.
This manga is surprisingly political. The MC is logical, but thinks in a _very_ Japanese way. There's lots of subtle things. For example,
The problem is that these subtleties are only barely outlined by the manga. If you don't give the manga a big benefit of the doubt and spend a lot of work...
This could have been really cool. Could you imagine slight-of-hand being used to unveil "holier than thou" hypocrisy and religious occultism in the medieval catholic church? I jizzed myself. There are cool bits like when the inquisition fakes miracles and witch testing using slight-of-hand. But...
