The rando doing the confession is literally nothing more than a plot device that connects with Taira's dream at the beginning of the chapter. You are free to believe otherwise, but that's just what it is.

Bruh, at the end she thanks Sawamura in the class chat but Taira gets a DM instead.
Dunno why you're so worried about her character development, it's actually pretty decent when compared to some other romcoms.
This is basically a continuation of the dynamics seen in ch.23. I don't know what role will Sawamura end up having though. The fact that he's on vol.3 cover could mean a lot or nothing at all.
I know that he needs to kindly fuck off, that's for sure.

The main selling point of this series for me is the fact that there's no external bullshit love interference between Seto and Anjou. Sure it's slow but it manages to actually have small bits of development just between the 2 of them. It's something I wish other authors would try to work on more...
