Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki did a pretty good job with stats... Though that's because it s actually (or we're led to believe, at least) a game... And then they promptly flip it around by NOT making everything stat dependent, which confuses the players.

Does anybody else find it kind of weird that so much jhorror appears to involve unpleasantness with no particular cause or aim? Like, western horror is usually some kind of a revenge, greed, insanity, etc. at its core. This (and a lot of other stories) is... Just people getting caught up in...
