Oh my God, I didn't catch this the first time but the line: "I will give back as much as I receive," is just... exactly what she mentioned in Ch. 13
(The line in particular: "I thought that if I worked hard enough, I could maybe receive the same amount of love as the effort I poured in.")

It's not like I think Prince Claudia is going to win but I don't even like seeing their scenes together, seriously they have no chemistry. She's always uncomfortable around him for obvious reasons and he seems to only like women who he thinks are pitiful.
someone go get the second prince, him and the twins guardian are the only ones i trust to clear up this mess.
in all fairness though, what that kid said wasn't entirely wrong. they do in fact hate the emperor right now and i wouldnt boil it down to a simple misunderstanding. saying you would...
thank you for all your work!! enjoy your 3 months of rest.
as for my feelings about the chapter it felt quite weak for a season finale, just ending with jeanette right before she got up would have felt stronger and given her thoughts more weight.
and speaking of jeanette, the hate here is so...
this is probably my favourite arc so far, it was refreshing to not have a braindead female rival that tries to be smart and fails miserably or a piece of shit male lead that switches back and forth between su luxia and said female rival.
i also liked that we got more hints about the real su...
@sjmcc13 you're right she's absolutely a talented and hard working young girl. Which is why I wanted the story to focus more on that rather than give her a special magical ability that is solely because of her noble bloodline.
She said she wanted to find people who treasured her for who she was...
They made such a big deal about her not being special... just to give her the purification ability that hasn't been seen in centuries... alright.
Usually I don't mind the whole cheat powers thing but the build up and title are all about her being a normal commoner.
I don't mind if she ends up with Stewart but I was really hoping she would win their votes and it doesn't look like it's heading that way so far. She's obviously well read and passionate about chess so I hope she has a chance to show off her skills soon.
i cant believe gracie was the original love interest of the novel, that's a lesbian right there folks (now watch her get a male suitor immediately after me saying this)
if this were an actual otome i'd be so sad i couldn't romance theo. the perfect balance of being kind and easy to talk to but having his guard up just as much as lutz, if not more.
