Pretty late, but since I wrote the comment already, I'm just going to post it. About URAN's gender, I think there is 2 different mangakas that use the name "URAN", and they have different drawing styles. one is male, full circle name: "Uran no Yakata" he is the one who wrote "Mujaki no Rakuen"...
