@Klauthzer0: I'm blaming that on the poor translation which basically ignores the subtext of character's emotions and thoughts. Basically we have pretty much zero idea what the author intended to convey there with the way it has been translated now.

@Danielesq: it isn't that much about being uptight about grammar but more about having incomprehensible language. Sure, you can guess the meaning at places, in other places not. Written word has content (meaning) and expression (metaphors): throwing words together and hoping that it makes sense...

@Izaya_Onisai: english is not only "western" language so there's various ways to interpret, if a japanese author is basing it on english, french or german writing for example there would be differences.

It is silly and funny even if there isn't great innovation in the premise or plot itself. So some light comedy even if it isn't winning any awards.
