I don't think is a justification, but is like a "revenge" plot, since she was bullied and he just sit and watch now she torment him the same way. Like she said in a previous chapter: "I like so see the person I love suffer" or some shit like that.

I really like the way the romance is handle here, they don't accidentally hold hands and then get embarrassed like in a normal romcom, they just do it. And Yamada is great, she know what she wants and even if Ishikawa struggles with his own fellings he also know he loves her. Also nice to Chems...
