So much of the details of that are left out that I can't really blame anyone for getting that impression. Especially with how the outsourcing isn't even mentioned again until this chapter, so the first mention of them after they started was "their models are shit!"

Uh, no they aren't. They're separate extra strips, and they get translated whenever we update chapters to the volume release.
Which I think ixlone is several volumes behind on.
Try checking any of the other chapters, though.
Or the amazon / book walker preview of the volume release of the first chapter.
