Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House - Vol. 17 Ch. 179 - Forgotten Things

@SuperOniichan I remember being on a train in Japan a while back. Across the way was an elegantly-dressed Japanese woman in an elaborate kimono complete with hairpins, the sort with dangling ornaments. She was tapping away on a smartphone, her head nodding as she did so and the hairpin...

    Interesting finished manga

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou -- https://mangadex.org/title/1110/yokohama-kaidashi-kikou A lot of people, myself included believe this to be the best manga ever created. Seriously. A 'Mono no aware' story. Humanity is slowly dying out and the world is coming to an end. Hatsuone Alpha, an A7M3...

Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House - Vol. 13 Ch. 131 - Fragrant, Sweet, Exciting

Page 9, Kiyo-chan says "Why?" and that's why we love her.

    Ookumo-chan Flashback - Vol. 5 Ch. 27 - Since I Was a Child, I Spent December 24ths Eating Cake With My Mom

"Discommunication" gets mentioned during the Secret Santa gift swap... https://mangadex.org/title/4504/discommunication By Usehiba Riichi, of course. I think the figurine Minoru finds himself holding on page 11 is of Matsaube Dakaomi, the main character in the Discommunication manga.

Choose what langage we want to see for one manga in the chapter listing

I'd like to see some kind of display for a given manga for all the various languages it's been translated into and maybe some way of showing, temporarily, the chapters of that manga in a selected language without having to set and reset my global language preferences and/or restarting my...

    Ookumo-chan Flashback - Vol. 4 Ch. 21 - Maybe Next Time, I'll Read Some Of Mom's Manga?

Shame it's been dropped, the next two chapters are truly excellent.

Akebi-chan no Sailor Fuku - Vol. 7 Ch. 40 - How do I even Respond to This?

This chapter reminded me of Carol-chan's home life (and crazee-hot mama) in Tomo-chan wa onna no ko! https://mangadex.org/chapter/30268/1

Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru - Vol. 6 Ch. 72 - The 72nd move

Who's up for a yuri route then? Oujo-sama gets beaten at shougi by rival for affections of childhood friend, attraction flips to sadistic dominatrix who defeated her on the game board. Hilarity ensues.

Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi - Vol. 6 Ch. 31 - What a Nice Bath

Reading the translation, in the light novel Mukouda used Bloody Horn Bull meat rather than the Wyvern meat to make the beef stew (chapter 95). I don't know why the manga adaptation went for Wyvern meat instead. In the LN storyline they don't get any Wyvern meat from the Guild's disassembler...

recommend me a hidden gem manga

Aria - wonderfully pleasant Cute Girls Doing Cute Things, gorgeous artwork, complete in Japanese, some volumes licenced in English before they were cancelled, multiple anime series https://mangadex.org/title/2007/aria Ikoku Nikki - Girl growing up story, very "real" with non-cookie-cutter...

    Ikoku Nikki - Vol. 5 Ch. 25 - page.25

Props to the translators for doing this series. It's gotta be a lot of work to get the ideas, the words, the gaps between the words translated so clearly.

Neko no Otera no Chion-san - Vol. 5 Ch. 42 - Cat, Wind Chime and Chion.

Odd Slice of Life (at least I think it's SoL) -- Heterogeneous Linguistics. The scanlation has stopped since it's getting an official English publication. Another SoL recommendation, Akebi-chan no Serafuku -- the art is superb even if the story is thin, basically Cute Girl Doing Cute Things and...
