As wholesome as this story is, trying to describe it to someone makes it sound so fucked up.

I don't know why but this story feels so disjointed and halfhearted its eerie, like we are only seeing the world from the point of view of some delusional isekai protagonist with a hero complex. Although, that does make me like it more than i should so whatever works i guess.
