im guessing the mechanic at works here is that his weapon damage (a whopping 200+ per shot and im pretty sure bullet damage exist cuz its a super realistic game) + stat scaling + critical + weakness scaling is what enable him to one shot bosses like that. i've no idea how stat scaling works but...

@ClinTEastwooD its a major plot point though, all of this mess was started partly because Black Mages aren't flashy enough for the screen

@nyaasar but the Phoenix Hero knows about his true power though. @Athengrim being a Black Mage in this universe is like being an IT Maint staff lmao. "If things are working perfectly, why would we need you?" "If things goes belly up then its your fault"

I like how this comment section laugh at the "The Hero always win in the end" part while forgetting that the Phoenix hero is a complete and utter broken character that can literally one-shot floor bosses with no debuff. My prediction is that he's going to keep flooring the bosses in the castle...

@MagnaDrake my understanding is that the curse is a blessing (of strength or something similar) that get passed on by bloodline, but the downside is that no normal female can withstand the blessing that the baby have, killing them when they give birth or maybe even sooner.

@Red225 not necessarily, if this manga follow MTG format to a T, then there exist card that can create unit without the card being "tapped" (in the manga term, only once a day) which i assume the elder is one. So he can make as many 1/1 elf token as long as he have the mana for it, and...
