What was this story about again? Summoned person, giant chicken divine beast, princess, escape from the capital. Theses are the words that come to my mind but I can't actually remember the story.
All good things must end. I'm actually pretty satisfied with this end. There's always room for improvement but it could have also been much, much worse.

I think you guys are misunderstanding the goddess. She only gave that "Loving your own children more than other people's" analogy for Kail's sake. Gods' feelings for mortals are similar to our feelings for pets like fish. You may like guppies the best and it's a shame when they cannibalize each...

To be fair, some rural prince wouldn't stand a chance in hell typically. Roland's improvements to the territory, especially in such a short period of time, are completely alien. Any sane person would think the 4th prince is acting a fool.
