@maisonaustyn You see this is the problem with not being able to write smart people. It is a problem for all authors. Any character smarter than themselves will always be limited by the ability of the author to be devious.
However in this case the Maid doesn't know the how much information the...
@cryotic In this case it works as a Initiation/hazing ritual for the knights.
I am pretty sure it is a general military thing. I know a few Danish version of the Navy Seals who ended up going through something similar.
@Esperantos If it was me being the general of the battle I would be interested in this anomaly. I might be concerned that I had an information leak (someone told the platoon commander ahead of time) and would want them captured in order to find the source of their information.
Ill just give a 5-cent since the manga doesn't really do a good job characterising the parents outside of the emotional neglect.
Both the parents are terrified of her.
Like imagine having a child with the power of superman. If the child throws a tantrum there is literally nothing you can do...
@cor3zone That is a fair point. I am working with a lot of assumptions here.
Still I think she deliberately hid info from him in an effort to manipulate him. Regardless if she is an AI or not. There was literally no logical reason for her not to tell him there were cloaked robots out there...
@kuyukotto It is not a question of "If". She literally said she hacked them on page 12.
So the question is without a doubt "why". There might be some sort of "Laws of robotics" in play here. Limits on an AI to prevent them from being completely unrestrained.
If I would take a guess it would...
I know a manipulative AI when I see one.
She literally withheld information from him to make him doubt her. Ultimately pushing him towards defying her instructions slightly. Then scrambled the target system of the cloaking units so he wouldn't get killed, but still get hurt. All the while she...
Well someone sucks at playing CK2...
You dont give up on an opportunity of royal connection just because the kid of your mistress is talented
Rookie move.
@Vofuro this series doesn't seem to do foreshadowing. Either by choice out of incompetence.
Cant say I am fan of this particular method. Seems like everything comes out of left field.
@Renae While cruel, it does make sense. If the Schemers are trying to frame her, you would expect that they are keeping an eye on her and the prince in particular. It is not a case of trusting them. A skilled observer may pick up on it despite Eli never telling anyone.
Still a cruel thing to do...
