its so obviously implying the yuri that i'm kind of afraid it won't actually happen, purely to serve as a "plot twist"

i think the yuri ending makes infinitely more sense than any other romantic ending given who she is...i don't think if a boy became a girl they would suddenly be into other boys, and her feelings for rumi are very clearly starting to lean toward romantic love rather than platonic.

the subplot makes no sense in the context of a real-world setting, which makes me wonder if the author is intentionally writing this in a fantasy setting or if they really expect people to suspend disbelief to this extent

character development is really nice. im glad zen turned out not to be the villain, i think a human villain this early on would have been really disappointing.
