I bet she is the type of Girl who is super into forbidden relationships (Romeo and Juliet style) and is going to be all over this duo, messing with them whenever she gets the chance. Making her a love rival would be boring. The love rival should appear later.

I like this version more the art style is more to my liking and the slightly slower paced story with a more detailed structure and a better character introduction is better in my opinion. The other version is I don’t know it feels less like fantasy and more like one of the many stories that rush...
