I doubt it was axed like people say. I think it's more likely he just got tired or felt the story didn't need another expansion past baku coming into power. There really wasn't any reason to add new villains after Hal vs baku peaking the series

Baku has the bandages from when his finger was cut off, so I think he will unravel them and drop them to make leader think the handkerchief is dropped

Team Duwang has possibly done the best translation I've been ever read. The fact that they go back and show all the clues for big and small plot twists astounds me every time. Thank you so much for working on this phenomenal story!
