@Manofmedan, but that doesn't make sense since in the original story she died really early and the holy maiden appeared out of nowhere. I still think the holy maiden might be her but as a reanimated person (zombie/puppet).

Random thought I had, not sure if it was mentioned in anyone else's comments. What if she is Deborah. A corpse reanimated back to life to be a puppet since the original story isn't truthful.

@BXP to some degree it does feel a little fast, but also growing up in america, i know that this kind of pacing in relationships is pretty normal, even in high shcool (not that i have any experience :'( ). So to me this manga is pretty refreshing to read from other shoujo.
