I also love that the Holy sword is really just a training sword and made to fit in the hands of dwarves. It looking like a dagger in the hands of human is pretty cool of the author.

yeah but this is also a sword harem tale I'd bet that girl ends up somehow merging with the sword that didn't humanize yet and then they get it on.

I remember reading a Korean novel similar to this before it got taken down. Or it could the same story since the plot is moving the same way. I dunno.
Anyway in that one the Emperor finds a ton of diaries and even goes so far as to investigate the family to see if it was true before...

Wuxia novels started it. Basically males use females to power up. The whole Yin/Yang and balance dynamic.
Practically every harem based novel has picked that up since then.

The author for this work is treating both the novels, the mangas and the anime as separate entities.
So instead of getting harassed by different bosses on when the next work is coming out, everything is separate.
Anime and mangas are basically using the novels more as inspiration.
