Man I really hope ippo starts to get what takamura is talking about soon. I would say one can only be so dense, but this is the guy who hasn't fully picked up the not so subtle hints of his love interest in 1000+ chapters xD.
Was also pleasantly surprised to see takamura paralleling himself to...
If this is supposed to make me feel sorry for Mon....I don't.
Let's say that at one point in time he was devoid of reasoning of right and wrong, and didn't fully comprehend the weight of his actions.
He later learned to empathize with the pain of others after his first run in with the monster...
I....I don't know what to say. I wanted to say Mon learned from his experiences with Toshi and Maria, but it seems like he's reverted to his old self with the absence of killing.
I'm definitely missing something so I have to reread again and again.
I'm still hopeful we'll find out from Mon's...
Oo it has been a while since we've seen the monster, recreating the conditions/scene of their initial demise.
With Maria by their side, will things go differently?
When Toshi's hair changed color (learning about his mom's death on the news) he didn't become more akin to Mon but underwent a different change in psyche.
When Maria's hair changed color she retreated inside her mind and embraced being more like Mon (and she wasn't affected by her family's...
So he knew what inflicting pain on others felt like, and he did it anyway. Did he forget that memory, but kept his fear of dogs?
Otherwise, I don't get how he being killed by the Monster would be so eye opening, except for the difference in magnitude of pain/fear
Sobering moment (?) for reader (If that hasn't happened already) and the public, after they find out I assume, alike
Maria's reaction to the climax will be most important tho
So he's willing to strip for criminals but not willing to bend the knee to the President? For "power" over his people, in a situation where he's been shown to be powerless? (But has also been shown to have some swaying "power")
I'm missing something so I'll reread
The author's portrayal of female characters is....interesting to say the least
Ik that's kind of late given everything else that was written/shown, but it just dawned on me
I just realized all the killers in this manga (Mon, Toshi the hunter, the father (?) ) are all loved in this manga
But now only one of them has been left with nobody to love them? Wonder if that means anything
