Personally i’m not convinced koga is out of the story. My theory is that gaoh will be injured by the worm, and he’s gonna call out his best bro koga to fight for him(who will probably get whooped but put up a good show). Also I really wanted to see haruo in the matches but i cant see him joining.

Assuming the gaoh is participating in the competition, my theory is that gaoh might get wounded(either from worm or going after ohma) and will ask koga to fight in his place

For those wondering why he is just casually using advance, I believe it was established during his fight with the beard that as long as he only uses a percentage of advance (kinda like how deku doesnt use 100% of one for all in mha), he doesnt get his body destroyed while also keeping his senses
