The strong point of plate armor is that it was near impervious and the only reason people stopped using it was when gunpowder weapons became more advanced, reliable, and cheaper to produce.
There are people who have tested firing longbows at plate armor, and only denting them at best...
To people who don't get it, those are old-style cans used way back then.
They were made of thick steel, so getting hit by them hurt a lot.
It is also why in older movies, you can see people crushing them single handed is a sign of strength.
