I very much agree with @PantsMan and, and to some extent @deltarayedge here. Crypto is a pain to deal with, even if you're perfectly comfortable with the technical aspects of it. There are tons of convenient donation platforms these days, there must be some kind of setup that would work out...

@1234muse well, again, we don't know, since we haven't been told. In a realistic scenario, most would try to return to their homes again, possibly even attempting to rebuild them, provided that they had been destroyed. Others would try and find family and relatives to live with in the meantime...

@1234muse why would they even kill the other half of the population? We don't know how many insurgents there were. We don't even know how many Empire sympathizers there were in Arene, nor how many that opposed The Empire (judging by the riots, there was probably a substantial number opposing)...
