ya, such a shame that the anime is mediocre at best :/ the LN/manga are SO GOOD and this really is such a unique series from setting to genre than the usual harem/isekai/romcom bs anime/manga are filled with. It deserves a better adaptation and popularity than what it got with the anime :<
lul, ppl wanting to excuse the tropey forced drama writing. It's fine to shift focus away from the main couple, but the execution here is just straight up bad and full of the usual drama tropes.
and yes, this is so predictable cliche of "oh she secretly loves her" and ensuing drama of "oh we'll...
damn, wish we got a proper yuri ending :< so many hints and progress, I mean, they were legit humping at one point xD
but that aside, the series was really enjoyable and the comedy on point :D
yaaa, dunno how I feel about brushing aside the whole vampire massacre as "it was just in the past" and "so ya, it's not a problem cause we killed all the vampires and no new ones have come since" :/
shame, the middle of the manga was going well after the initial shit, but then this final arc and chapter have just been "alltheedgedramapossible"
I don't even really mind the direction the story is heading, but holy hell the author is writing this with the most amount of angst and extreme...
I mean, I get some of where the drama is coming from and her issues of insecurity and idolizing, but holy heck is the author going overboard with the angst and overplaying the drama/dialogue here
though imo these plot points should've been handled throughout the story as the two became closer...
