I have misophonia and can totally relate to all sounds being "loud", being in the "foreground". The cafeteria at school was awful because I was the only one who couldn't understand what anyone was saying, even though I don't have bad hearing.
Mahiro's been savage the past two chapters! "Take responsibility and get in with me!" and now "Don't ask. Good night." It's nice to see him acting confidently on his own initiative, even if this was the result of being cornered.
