Novel explains it better... he contemplates that his body actually matters in a sense that he has done so much work for it already and spent so much resources, that it would be difficult to build it again with Earth's scarce resources. He can't just go rampage and discard his body.
I hope the manga takes the direction of comedy and romance more as the novel did. I'm not sure what kind of impression people get from this so far, but it's really not at all just a story about a cold hearted killer. My impression of main character is much like Naruto.
