Seriously. It's such a unique and interesting pacing with surprising deliberation and fleshing out of all the characters we see. Everyone has serious, silly, deadly, ambitious, fearful and so on sides to them. People were whining previously about how the test is "too deadly" and now...
@Cornonthekopp
I don't think that's all of it, but certainly would make sense as another part of the lore. And not just a shrine in form only, but a real serious shrine that is regularly maintained/cared for/prayed to/has offerings. Neglected shrines that are just there as decoration probably...
@Aangmj12
I don't think it's "evil/shadow" though is the thing. It's not like this Lacile is just going to start massacring random innocents or something. Is it actually "evil/shadow" to seriously fight an enemy that has massive numerical and home turf advantage, has already imprisoned, partly...
What are you talking about? This isn't some random berserk thing, this is from back when he "fought himself" during the Wiefe/Arcnemy arc. He created a strong image of himself, and that version, another part of him, challenged how serious he was about protecting her. It's not a "power up" per...
Lovely melancholy. It was nice that she had appreciation and respect for such magnificent creatures, rather then simply seeing them as threats. Look forward to finding out what the radio broadcast is: an actual other person, cyborg, an AI/robot, something else entirely? Will say something about...
Shouldn't it be a monarchy? It says Burger King not Burger God, no wonder it got so angry!
Good chapter but the funny still has an undertone of melancholy in terms of the loss of understanding and waste. And yeah typical fast food is disgustingly greasy/salty/unsatisfying.
@my0tis
Yeah, I'm digging this arc too, though that's not saying much since I've enjoyed all the arcs :). But each one is a bit different in the sorts of things it explores.
I think the message has more been that there is always a next villain or "villain", not just "leftovers". While there may be old survivors who feed into new ones too, there will also always be new people who want to use power in ways others won't agree with. The world is really just getting...
Makes me think of the start of the wonderful movie "Kedi" where a guy is talking about a mother cat, and says something about how she's normally so lazy and easy going, but threaten her kittens and you'll see another side to her. Good college!
