It's interesting to see some people assuming that the drama is continuing while I feel like Haru is starting to understand how Midori feels without needing her to vocalize it.

@goodie-bag page 4 seems to take place over the course of a year so yes there is a time skip, just technically not in between chapters like you postulated.
