Limit Some Accounts to Grouped Uploads :rejected:

@zanonyn— Nope. First, it won't be easily seen that user X is missing a scanlation, to her invisible, by group Y because it was uploaded by user Z whom she blocked. Second, in some cases user Z will not ever have been malevolent either in creating adaptations greatly disliked by some other...

Limit Some Accounts to Grouped Uploads :rejected:

@Teasday— Hardly. The recurring challenge with problematic uploaders is distinguishing the malevolent. (This challenge limited action against SteamedBunInvasion.) A problematic uploader who kept creating new groups would be establishing malevolence. Likewise for creating new accounts...

Limit Some Accounts to Grouped Uploads :rejected:

@zanonyn— A malicious uploader could provoke blocks, then upload scanlations of good quality by sincere groups. These would not be seen by those who had blocked that account, and would not be uploaded with apparent redundancy by others.

Tatoe Sekai ga Owattemo, Watashi wa Kanojo wo Erabanai - Ch. 1

@Dudley— In the absence of a fast-moving boat, yes, running into the sea would be a grave mistake.

Limit Some Accounts to Grouped Uploads :rejected:

@SlowlyApproachingBear— In the case that concerns you, right now there is no mechanism for appropriate action. I'm pointing to the more general problem and proposing a mechanism.

Long Time No See - Ch. 1

It would be hilarious were this a one-shot.

There's No Way I Can Have a Lover! *Or Maybe There Is!? - Vol. 2 Ch. 10

I have a suggested long-term response to situations such as this. Unfortunately, it would not be implemented immediately even if accepted, and then an admin would have to act. ATTN: @aoi, @bunny, @Darker444, @Hexxy, @ieatass69, @Kramim12, @Lilliwyt, @MrViktor, @seallionzz...

Limit Some Accounts to Grouped Uploads :rejected:

Readers have the ability to specify that uploads by some groups do not appear in these readers' Follows list, &c. A work-around for a willfully problematic uploader is simply not to associate the upload with a group. Right now, there is an uploader whose work is detested by many readers; I am...

After the Curtain Call - Ch. 1

Everywhere that the translation notes say “in English”, they are wrong. The words to which the notes refer mean nothing in English; they mean something in the source language. But the best thing to do is not to write “in Spanish”, but just to write “ ‘elevar’ means raise”, &c.

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear - Vol. 6 Ch. 55 - Kuma-san gets some Eggs

@Graywing— As I said, shifting still more of the burden to the taxpayer wouldn't make college education pay for itself; instead, actual costs would become even greater, while the marginal value of a degree would drop even more. Resources would be flushed down the toilet. Bernie talks of a...

There's No Way I Can Have a Lover! *Or Maybe There Is!? - Vol. 1 Ch. 8

@the_descolada — The first occurrences of many bad things are quite ancient. Using “they” as a singular only gained a foothold amongst intellectuals after various attempts to introduce new, ungendered singular personal pronouns fell flat; those attempts were openly ideologic, so no one aware...

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear - Vol. 6 Ch. 55 - Kuma-san gets some Eggs

@Graywing— These children will be offered chances to learn and to apply reading, writing, and arithmetic in the course of learning business operations. And, as I already noted, this world has a very limited demand for what are called “knowledge workers”. In our own world, a college...

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear - Vol. 6 Ch. 55 - Kuma-san gets some Eggs

@Graywing— You are confusing schooling with something requiring a schoolhouse. Moreover, these children are being schooled in ways that will allow them to rise above what would otherwise be their stations. (And they are being given a chance to learn what they would need to know to operate...

There's No Way I Can Have a Lover! *Or Maybe There Is!? - Vol. 2 Ch. 10

@xiaotiao— While I think that you have been ill-treated, your sole argument against creating a group has evaporated. You will be acting in bad faith if you do not do so.

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear - Vol. 6 Ch. 55 - Kuma-san gets some Eggs

@flannan— Show me a child who is only being trained to work as a waiter, and I'll agree that his or time would be better spent. However, I certainly won't agree that waiters don't have real jobs.

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear - Vol. 6 Ch. 55 - Kuma-san gets some Eggs

@Dlroth, @flannan— I've discussed the real-world history of child labor in another entry. With that somewhat in mind, let's consider the situation of these orphans. If they do not work, they will enter into adulthood unable to sustain themselves. If they go to school, then they will be...
