It's hard not to get an *overwhelming* feeling that Nayuta is in the same situation to whatever degree that Mahiro is. The smoking gun is when Mihari says to her senpai in 22.5 "If you mean Onii-chan, then he safely became a middleschooler thanks to the groundwork you've already set up"
...
Oop, guess my big elaborate theory isn't on point. Nayuta isn't in league with an enemy at all, just in league Mihari's senpai. That she asked Nayuta not to tell Mihari suggests to me that Mihari would know her too. Very interesting.
I also like Nayuta's addition to the cast overall at this...
I'm sorry to say Ahodegozaimasu, but that's an even more problematic use of the word "trap" than usual in light of actual real life events where a number trans women are killed every year over the revelation of their anatomy. It's also a type of story I'd seen way too much of by now, it's...
I like these two a lot, and that's coming from someone who normally isn't about the het gender bender couples. (last one I remember really liking Megu Miruku's?) I could explain what bugs me about such pairings usually and what exempts certain ones from my scrutiny, but instead I'll just say...
God, Sugimura is such a great character. I'm liking him more and more with each appearance. I didn't think he'd have this many layers if I'm being honest.
I really like how socially conscious the author is and I do think it's important to have works directly addressing social issues...
but
It's also important to have works of escapism. You'll just simply burn out if all you're doing is thinking about the world's problems. Being burned out...
I'm gonna be nice this time and say for a manga that seemingly got axed and had to quickly pack it in, they stuck the landing considering. Rushed/axed endings never feel good, but this went as smoothly as one of those could go. The author is talented at the very least at broad strokes.
@Plykiya I figured you'd want to know about this incredible happenstance.
Sorry for double-posting, wasn't sure it'd summon you otherwise if I edited my previous post.
Wow! This is interesting! The author uploaded this as the scanlator!
It's an honor to have you on Mangadex! I'm sure one of us will gladly help with translation if you'd like!
Thanks for translation! I wonder if the evil god's scent is "weaker" because... well, guys in general tend to have stronger body odor. Though on the other hand female B.O. is still completely noticeable to a human so I doubt a dog would make the distinction.
@Alice_is_lost Pretty much that, yeah. I don't blame the MC being unlikable on the MC, that's dodoland logic. (similar reasons why I hate the term "Mary Sue" on a sidenote) I can accept it isn't her fault her story isn't being presented well. I blame it on the writing. The story isn't terribly...
Yeah, before I forget -- thank you so much for translating this! I'm complaining about the story but I'm NOT complaining about the opportunity to see it. Honestly, no matter what, no story is a waste of your time. It's always interesting to comb through and see what works, what doesn't work. I'd...
I kind of see where @KZO is coming from on this though. I don't find the protag relatable here, mostly due to the pacing problems. I'd find her continued resolve to want to go back to the world she's not originally from more relatable if... she was shown to have processed that information at...
@igalico The "-n" sound added to a name to make it a nickname is considered cute. It's most often seen with names that end in an "i" since a word ending in "i" feels kind of harsh on a Japanese tongue. So Kaori becomes "Kaorin", Yukari becomes "Yukarin" etc. -- wouldn't be surprised if we see...
