Happy to see the Knockers used in a fantasy setting - and they aren't malevolent! Knockers are said to be either malevolent spirits that actively chip away at a mine's walls and support beams with their hammers to cause cave-ins or well-meaning tricksters who loved to move around miners tools...
The pages of them just sitting around really channeled a moment that happens to almost everyone a couple of times in life when a parent sees beyond the adult they've become and sees the vulnerability and fragility of their child who is struggling to find who they really are.

@Purplelibraryguy Same idea - the Scots aren't the only ones with recipes that involve mixing offal, meat and spices then stuffing it into an animal's stomach to cook. In this case, there's no offal involved, but different cuts of meat with it's own fat.
I am not a loyal to their brand, but they had a much better product so I waited. Shame it went down like how it did. They set the standards, but there will always be the silent majority that will prefer reading barely eligible translations simply because it's faster.
