@vangstampede the phrases aren't as clear or well known in Japanese. "Honor killing" is more like "honor murder/homicide" and the only reason English has the term is because of media attention in the UK on Muslim immigrants. I doubt most Americans know what it entails. Japan doesn't have the...
@flamewingman Generally no, but not all peers have an estate tied to the title and not all estates tied to titles are part of the peerage.
One problem is that not all peers with an estate have sustainably profitable estate and some can't offset the cost with their own income. Since this guy...
@Egran From the last chapter it seems like the dead dude was the one who wanted to do whatever this was supposed to be and the blade guy wasn't interested once he went extra crazy. He sat down and stopped fighting.
Fucking amazing.
@Disrupted if that's the case then it makes sense in this situation. The other group is the licensed translator, so having similar stuff would provoke DMCAs or C&Ds.
@4V29LN0n You're definitely wrong there. In Japan, C.M.B. is decently popular and Q.E.D is very popular; only Case Closed and Kindaichi are bigger than Q.E.D. They just aren't as well known here, probably because they were translated relatively late. Oddly enough, Q.E.D is more popular than...
The broken bead and walnut evidence don't really work. The force on any individual bead isn't enough to split it in half and the walnut would just get pushed out of the way by a slow moving stone.
@Fraksinus
1. The latter; she just gave it a start.
2. I have no idea how she planned it out ahead...
@BrutalDawn I was thinking of the black panther in the battle with Mary. It seemed like she'd show up at some point considering her involvement was anticlimactic.
@animekek69 looks like she had cancer, was on chemotherapy, and then stopped. That hat is a normal kind for covering the hair loss but she has short hair, meaning that she pretty much gave up and stopped the treatment.
@zerimas
It's similar, but NOEZ also makes money off of subscription models and merch based off of copyrighted material, both of which are very illegal. They also sell the standard Chinese rip-off online games that plague app stores.
I'm not sure what your point is regarding other countries...
@zerimas According to the first post it doesn't sound like there are going to be any other options in the short term.
As for piracy websites in general, they either subsist off of donations, invasive ads, or owner generosity. They can't just use GoogleAds or another above-the-board ad provider...
We've had 701 chapters of Toda not confessing, 323 of Ayako not confessing, and at least 250 since she figured out her powers and came to terms with them. Nothing has really happened in the meantime and it's been dragging as a result.
