@Antari It was effectively axed, along with several other series running in the magazine. Some series got picked up in another magazine that is still put out by the company, but Torako was not one of them.
Given the phrasing and the chapter title (and the cover picture of the girl in a memorial photo,) it seems like it might be a situation where the girl was "meant to die," and thus unraveling their current situation could result in her death resuming as planned.
Edit: Given that the girl has...
@Siquall Go into the comments for the most recent chapter if you want a detailed explanation. Don't go into the comments for the most recent chapter if you value your time and aren't in the mood for TMI about folks' porn-browsing preferences.
@fk1995 You probably miss-remembered because one of the modern tactics that Kappa taught Kawahime was fetishwear- specifically the "school swimsuit," because both Kappa and Kawahime are pervs. They also brought her to the beach later.
@fk1995 france001 is correct. Why would he need to give swimming lessons to a water ayakashi?
Edit: He did give "lessons" to Kawahime at one point, but they weren't about swimming. They were about approaching guys, because she's got the "vitality draining succubus" archetype but isn't...

@Harvester There's also the girl he gave swimming lessons to.
@boag Well, he's self-admittedly still kind of shit at doing the faces of the dolls. Even just from the title itself it's always struck me as a given that the heroine is a stand-in for the dolls that he gets to dress up in the meantime- except instead of a doll she's an adorable, bubbly...
One issue with Momo's design is that if they actually wanted to go all-in on the customization part Umiko is going to give Hajime a concussion with the forehead flick for tacking on a huge new subsystem.
@SpacyRicochet In Japan most companies will require that you fill out a resume/CV form (rirekisho) when applying for a job. Since the form is standardized you can buy more-or-less universally accepted blank forms with all the required fields at stationery stores.
@raven_freak In terms of presentation yes; it's very faithful to the feel of the anime. In terms of the story presented... sort of; some chapters do replicate episodes of the anime, while other chapters reference and expand upon the anime, assuming that the reader has watched it. The intent...
Given the episode context the second bubble in the second panel should probably read, "She's too strong." The translation of the first bubble in that panel is also pretty vague. The original read "Yokat- " which is probably the speaker about to say "Yokatta," an expression of joy/relief that...
@Shyning Some of the stories in the cancelled YA Arashi will continue in the regular YA magazine. It's also not totally unheard of for a story to jump to an entirely different publisher, but I don't think that's common, and this one probably isn't enough of a proven success to shop around like that.
@Tray I'm pretty sure the tonal shift happened the chapter after the author was told that the magazine was cancelled and he needed to wrap things up quick. :(
@Shyning The story does end with chapter 20. The author's note mentions that he's got something in the June issue of the main Young...
