Is “chain” attacks really the correct translation for what the hydra is meant to be immune to? If so what does it mean? It doesn’t really make sense contextually as all maou does is throw a knife into it to prove the immunity wrong. Maybe “piercing” or “stabbing”...?

I don’t understand why any author willingly writes a character like Ditzen. They are just annoying. There is literally no positive about the character, whatsoever.
