Such an asspull lol Cheap writing. At least come up with some pseudo-smart tactics by the MC, rather than writing that people who have been doing their jobs for years magically can't see something as obvious as another metal which you can see with naked eye being present inside the dirt/rocks.

Not Taiwan. The Republic of China gov moved to Taiwan after the PRC took over after WWII. In this story, it's basically China, but in the period when it was still governed by the previous gov regime. (Otherwise doesn't make sense that the country of origin is China)
