Why would Rena care that Angel is in her seat, if her seat is next to the prince she wants to avoid? She gets to be rid of Angel and the prince, and move to a less conspicuos spot while Angel draws all the attention, which is exactly what she wants in the first place.

So what was the maid's plan? Leave her there, and hope the guards would catch her and dispose of her? They don't seem to be looking for her, and she's just a child, so they would likely want to check her identity before doing anything serious to her.
