@Grorp Thats what the scanlator said. Along with the fact that youkai can live in the human side of the bridge if they look human, and they worded it like that was this setting. So I think the scanlators dont know what the fuck they are talking about

@nerevars Probably the classmate finding her seatmates baby and taking care of it and then also inviting the "mother" to her house. Obviously the girl didnt want to kill it, so the classmate is the deus ex machina, though she wasnt exactly introduced suddenly. But it's still a hell of a coincidence
