@Yuudaari yeah, whatever is in chapter 8 is more than sufficient (overdone, even). A good handful of the translated SFX in that chapter seemed non-vital the the story line... which made things feel like there were more clutter on the page than necessary. But that's just me; maybe others don't...

Can put SFX translation near the Japanese SFX. Or only do the SFX that contribute to the story and aren't obvious just by looking/reading the dialogue.

Looks like Akiyama has pushed it back even more again (now it's expected to have new chapter on Dec. 10). It's already been 'pushed back' twice. Perhaps it's still cancelled?

@Teasday I considered that.. but not knowing Japanese history/poems/etc. it seemed odd to me that the father would use an old way of saying "i" and then use the modern word for underwear (パンツ vs 下着, or something else). So I just followed the original text.

@Teasday what would you have recommended instead? I originally had it as just "mine".

@Random_Passer-by I primarily post my initial translations on other places to get it checked, and it usually turns out that my understanding of the Japanese language is complete shit. So... <_<

@Umetsu Dragon Quest terminology in Japan, I think. Zaoral: A spell that grants 50% chance to revive the dead with half of their max hp. Prayer Ring: A righteous ring that restores a modicum of MP when used. Had to do some googling for that.

@Arc hmm yeah, MC would make the most sense. It says CM in the raws too, but that's weird that such a thing would go unnoticed. In the next chapter, they'll have an MC battle, so that makes me further believe it was an error on the author's fault.
