@Ricard_Rick In ch. 39, it was revealed that Angel was always a virgin but was lying about it: https://mangadex.org/chapter/882788
It essentially destroys the entire character and is inconsistent with with all prior things the character did.
No doubt an editor move that was forced to appease...
I demand an explanation for this nonsense.
Where is my infidelity, my rape, my manipulation, my stockholm syndrome, my domestic violence?
What a weak showing from Naoko.
@Waffley
>respect
>forced kiss
>stalks to get a shared household
>“I'll make you fall in love with me.”
Not all, creepy smooth stalker syouzyo love interest, and we love it.
I do want to see this be translated. I want to see if Naoko's legendary style is anywhere different with a male love interest.
I wonder if it'll simply end up as “nothing changed simply because the manipulative bastard now is slightly taller, flat, and has slightly wider shoulders.”.
@mirewitch
Creepy sex stuff is what we're here for.
The auctor knows it's creepy; the characters know it and admit it in this case; and everyone glories in it.
The point is the abusive relationships, the deceit, the unhealthy addictions, the lies, especially the lies.
Also:
It's not saying...
@Vigal
Because the series now entered the point where the plot has to be dragged out.
This is why I dislike “indefinite serializations” that are planned to go on with no clear end in sight.
I recently read pretty much the entire catalog of Naoko Kodama, with many small series of about 5...
@RozuArison08
Naoko is really good at making fucked-up things appear beautiful; that rape scene was quite poetic.
Masahiro Itosugi also has some really good fucked up dynamics and rape scenes in Aki-Sora and Uwa-Koi.
Indeed, this series shows that magnificent, manipulative sexual harassment has nothing to do with gender.
The same quality we've come to expect from Naoko.
@Aozora-Tenwa
I still cannot fathom those that did not see this coming.
From the very first panel, it was obvious that it would end with a ménage à trois-ending.
@Mewsthebest
No, that would be polygyny, polygamy simply means being married to multiple persons, whatever their sex be.
